SimpleLearn is an AI-powered study tool that helps users transform their own study materials into notes, flashcards, mind maps, and practice tests.

We collect only information necessary to provide and operate the Service.
a. Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:

- Login credentials (stored securely)
- Account and study preferences
You may sign up using email and password (with email verification), or Google authentication. We do not store your Google password.
b. Study Materials & User Content
We collect and store content you choose to provide, including uploaded documents (e.g. PDFs), text input, URLs or links, and files selected through Google Drive. This content is stored so you can return to your workspace and continue studying.
c. AI-Generated Content
Based on your submitted materials, we generate study aids such as notes, flashcards, mind maps, and practice tests. These generated outputs are stored in your account for your use.
d. Payment Information
Subscriptions and payments are processed by Stripe. We receive limited billing information such as subscription status, payment identifiers, and transaction metadata. We do not store full payment card details.
e. Usage & Technical Data
We automatically collect limited technical information, including IP address, device and browser type, log and error data, and cookies required for authentication, security, and core functionality.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use personal data to:
- Create and manage user accounts
- Authenticate users and secure access
- Store and process study materials and generated content
- Provide AI-powered study features
- Process subscriptions and payments
- Send essential service-related emails (verification, billing, security, and updates)
- Maintain platform security and prevent abuse
- Improve the Service using aggregated, non-identifiable usage data
We process personal data only where necessary to provide the Service, to meet legitimate operational and security interests, or where required by law.
3. AI Processing
Your study materials are processed by AI systems solely to generate study content for your personal use.
- Your content remains private to your account.
- We do not use user content to train public AI models.
- AI providers process data only to deliver the requested functionality.
4. Google Services
Google Authentication: If you choose to sign in with Google, Google provides us with basic account information (name, email) to authenticate your account.
Google Drive Picker: If you choose to select files from Google Drive, we access only the files you explicitly select. We do not access or store other files in your Google Drive.
Use of Google services is subject to Google's own privacy policies.
5. Sharing & Service Providers
We do not sell personal data. We share limited information with trusted third-party service providers only as necessary to operate the Service, including:
- We use third-party service providers for authentication and data storage.
- Stripe - payment processing and subscription management
- Google - authentication and file selection features
These providers process data on our behalf under their respective data protection obligations.
6. International Use & Data Transfers
The Service is available worldwide. Personal data may be processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate legal safeguards to protect international transfers.

We use cookies to keep users signed in, maintain session security, remember preferences, and ensure core platform functionality.
